Former Memphis Grizzlies player Zach Randolph paid it forward during his return to the Bluff City.

Randolph donated $20,000 to MIFA for utility payments and established the Zach for Families Fund.

The fund offers the opportunity for charitable giving in Zach’s honor to support MIFA’s family programs.

Those programs include the hotline for homeless families, education assistance, and rapid re-housing.

“The love. You know, having my back, you know, through the good times and the bad times. You know, the supporting cast, and making me feel the love, and making Memphis my home, and open arms, so, you know, it’s like you said. It’s a give and gift situation, and they give a lot to this community,” said Randolph.

The donation will help pay utility bills for 100 Memphis are households in need of short term assistance so they can stay on their feet.
