What is HYPE?
ABC24 HYPE (Helping Young People Excel) Memphis is an initiative focused on local area students in grades 7 through 12. This half day symposium will serve to launch a cohort style program designed to develop the core principles needed to produce good citizenship, purpose and hope in our participating students.
The overall design of this initiative focuses on developing a zeal in the participants that will result in them being civically and socially engaged, politically and financially savvy and post-secondary education/workforce bound.
Additionally, the initiative will strive to promote strong interpersonal skills, while instilling an overarching sense of purpose and hope for a vibrant future. This will be a collaborative effort formulated through various partnerships.
The symposium is designed to be fun, enlightening and inspirational for all in attendance. There will be special guest presenters such as Dr. Shree Walker and others.
