MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Pepper Baker is an anchor and reporter for ABC24. Before moving to Memphis, Pepper worked at KSDK Channel 5 in St. Louis and reported on evening and daytime newscasts. Her coverage on a deadly tornado hitting an Illinois Amazon warehouse earned an Emmy nomination. She also reported and anchored at 13WMAZ in Macon, Georgia.
Pepper earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia University in New York City. She’s a former Division III volleyball player and coached teen athletes during her time in Georgia.
The Tallahassee, Florida native is excited to be in the Mid-South and get a taste of all the good barbecue Memphis has to offer!
