MEMPHIS, Tenn — Fall is right around the corner! Here's a look at some of the fun Memphis events in September.
All month long
The Memphis Jazz Orchestra captures authentic Memphis soul at Alfred's on Beale St. It takes place 6 to 9 p.m. every Sunday until Oct. 20. For a full list of their upcoming events, click HERE.
Grab a mat and some water for free Pilates classes at Sunset Canopy in Tom Lee Park. They will be held from Sept. 9 to Sept. 30 from 6 to 7 p.m. To register, click HERE.
Check out the Summer Art Garden at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Artists have created a fantasy landscape in the plaza with whimsical creatures and design. It runs through Oct. 26.
Among other exciting events at the Germantown Performing Arts Center, GPAC also hosts its Concert in the Grove series on select Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
Challenge your mind at Belltower Coffee at 525 S. Highland St. for trivia night, which begins at 6 p.m. every Wednesday through Dec 18. For a full list of dates, click HERE.
Come out to Momma's Bar on 855 Kentucky St. for live music from 7 to 10 p.m. every Wednesday night! Located right off Highway 55, Momma's is 21+ at all times and offers a local music experience on an all-weather patio through Dec. 18. Learn more HERE.
All the way through February 2025, the Hi Tone cafe is hosting an open mic comedy night every Wednesday from 8 to 10 p.m. The show is $10 for audience members and free for performers. For tickets and more information, click HERE.
This fall, Slider Inn is hosting Thursday Night Football at Downtown's biggest outdoor screen every Thursday until Nov. 21. Stop by at 5 p.m. and enjoy the fun. For more information, check out Slider Inn's Instagram.

September 1
In only one of the many ways to celebrate 901 Day, the City of Memphis, Downtown Memphis Commission, Memphis Grizzlies and L.Y.E Academy are hosting a day-long celebration on Beale Street on Sunday, Sept. 1. It will be a fun-filled day with music, a youth talent show, poetry slam, flash mob, live paintings, giveaways, vendors and more! Big Boogie is set to headline. Memphis Grizzlies fans can meet forward GG Jackson during an autograph signing for Grizzlies Day during the Bulls and Redbirds baseball game. There will also be free inflatables and face painters throughout the game on the Old Bluff. The Tennessee Shakespeare Company’s eighth annual free shout-out Shakespeare series kicks off on September 27 with "The Comedy of Errors," playing from Sept. 27 through Oct. 20. For more information, click HERE.
