Legendary Singer Frankie Beverly Dies

Beverly is survived by his family, bandmates, and the millions of fans who cherished his music.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Music legend Frankie Beverly, the beloved lead singer of the iconic R&B band Maze, has died at the age of 77.

Born Howard Stanley Beverly in Philadelphia, the legendary singer died on Sept. 10, 2024.

Beverly is known for his hits with the group Frankie Beverly and Maze, such as “Before I Let Go,” “Joy and Pain,” and “We Are One.”

In a statement on Instagram, his family said, “Grieving the loss of a loved one is a deeply personal and emotional experience.”

Frankie Beverly is survived by his family, bandmates, and the millions of fans who cherished his music.

Beverly was a frequent musical guest for the Southern Heritage Classic in Memphis, where he had a large local following. 

Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
