MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Melissa Nelms launched The Culture Collab with the goal of creating a one-stop, creative shop for Memphis business owners and entrepreneurs.
“We provide services such as project management, influencer marketing, virtual assistance, but we are also a shared workspace,” she said. “It also helps to combat isolation and depression that entrepreneurs can have when you're working from home in that space by yourself.”
Nelms, a first-generation entrepreneur, opened The Culture Collab in March 2023 in East Memphis. The business is located at 6063 Mount Moriah Road Extended in the Apple Tree Center next to Walmart.
“There are no co-working spaces in [Hickory Hill], and we're called The Culture Collab by design. That wasn't a random name. This community is full of culture, whether it's Hispanic, African-American, Asian, music, arts. There's a lot of definitions to culture. So, this space is very specific to the demographic of people that we serve in our space.”
