MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – If you saw 901 FC’s official hype group Bluff City Mafia marching from the Brass Door to AutoZone Park leading up to last weekend’s game, you may have seen a familiar face.
DeAngelo Williams, former UofM and NFL running back, was greeted by chants of “He’s one of our own,” when he pulled up to the Brass Door minutes before BCM started their usual pre-match march. Williams joined in the chants, banged on the drums, and got his first taste of the pro-soccer experience in Memphis.
He also served as the ceremonial pre-match guitar smasher.
Williams loves Memphis, and he couldn’t have been more complimentary about 901 FC.
