MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Animal Services is calling a Code Red and says they are in desperate need of fosters and adopters.
MAS said the shelter at 2350 Appling Cove is over capacity and that they have “exhausted all options.”
“We do not want to humanely euthanize adoptable dogs for space, and we know you don't want us to either,” said a post to social media. “If you can open your home to a shelter dog for even just a few weeks, you will help us save more lives!”
MAS said adoption fees are being waived for urgent dogs Friday and Saturday, June 7 & 8, 2024. MAS is open until 6 p.m. Friday and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The shelter is open to the public from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Fridays.
