MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Saturday will be a day for “Miraclesin Memphis.” It’s an annual event looking to meet the needs of every Memphian.
You can get bags of food, clothing, toiletries, school supplies,toys for kids, household appliances, even haircuts.
There will also be empowerment sessions on issues like financialliteracy, as well as job recruitment and a college fair.
Miracles in Memphis was started 10 years ago by Bishop BrandonPorter at Greater Community Temple. He says it’s all about loving your neighborby meeting their needs.
“Come as you are. Everyone come. No one will beturned down. There’s plenty of items to give away and to share with one another,”said Bishop Porter.
There’s no requirement to attend.
It starts Saturday at 8:00 a.m. and goes until 3:00 p.m. at the north Memphislocation of Greater Community Temple Church of God on Dunlap Street.
