MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Spring in Memphis means it’s almost time for the annual Spring Plant Sale at the Memphis Botanic Garden.

This year’s sale will take place April 18 through 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Nursery at the Garden.

On April 18, it’s members only, with exclusive access for Memphis Botanic Gardens members. Then on April 19 and 20, the sale if open to the public. And it’s free!

Expert horticultural staff and Master Gardener volunteers will be available to help customers with suggestions for their own gardens, and advice on maintenance.

Home gardeners will find a variety of plants available, including natives, trees, shrubs, vegetables, herbs, flowers, pollinators, and more. The plants are curated to be well-suited for the Mid-South climate.

“We have increased our offering of hard-to-find natives, will have twice the amount of starter vegetables that we have ever had at the sale, and offer many unique and rare tropicals and perennials that we have propagated or grown from seed in-house,” said Daniel Grose, Director of Horticulture. “Many of these are some of our horticulture staff's favorite picks from years of working with plants. And as always we will have a wide variety of tried and true favorites as well.”

Outside vendors will also be on-site with Japanese Maples, heirloom, native, and exotic fruit trees, and even birdhouses.
