MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Another company is making an investment to bring jobs to Ford Motor Company’s BlueOval City in West Tennessee.
Avancez announced Thursday it will invest $54 million to expand assembly operations and add a new facility at the Stanton, Tennessee, site, according to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.
Avancez said it will join auto supplier Magna by creating an additional 500 new jobs in Haywood County. Magna previously announced it would bring more than 1,000 new jobs to Stanton.
Avancez specializes in supply chain operations for automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The Stanton site will be the company’s third U.S. location.
“Tennessee’s longstanding history in the automotive industry has propelled our state forward as a powerhouse in the electric vehicle evolution,” said Gov. Bill Lee in a news release.
“Landing Ford Motor Company created a ripple effect statewide as we continue to see tier 1 suppliers like Avancez choosing to locate in Tennessee,” said TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter.
“In partnership with Ford, we’re poised to forge relationships and build a better future for team members, families and friends alike,” said Kathryn Nichols, CEO, Avancez. “By linking arms, we’ll create a community committed to a brighter, more sustainable future as we drive progress and prosperity every step of the way.”
