Memphis-based beauty company lands nail polish-mixing robot in Collierville Walmart

Blank Beauty has introduced Huey, a robot that matches pictures for custom nails, to Walmart.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis-based company Blank Beauty is taking their custom paint-mixing machine technology into one of the largest retail giants in the world: Walmart.

Blank Beauty created Huey, a robot that mixes custom nail polish. You submit pictures to Huey online, and the robot will match it.

If you want to check out the color matching process, there is a location from the Collierville Walmart located at 560 W Poplar Ave. There are also Huey robots in Franklin, Tennessee, and Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The company's CEO, Charles Brandon, said he developed the technology and raised capital to get the company off the ground. Next, he created a recipe of polish that would entice the customer to come back. 8 years later, a world class E-commerce site and retail device launched.

Brandon believes Blank Beauty is revolutionizing the beauty industry by giving consumers the best possible experience as the creator. Brandon said the customer doesn't walk away with the technology in their pocket, but they do walk away with a beautifully branded product called Blank that they created with their vision.
