COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — On August 10, Collierville officials provided an update about the progress on future Chick-fil-A locations.
Chick-fil-A plans to provide a traffic study for the planned location at Poplar Avenue and Bray Station later in August, according to Collierville officials. They are planning to submit a site plan in September or October for staff to review. This site plan would not go to the Planning Commission until December or January. In late July, Collierville officials said Chick-fil-A withdrew their parking variance application from 2022 for the location.
According to the town, the owner of the Poplar Ave. Chick-fil-A property told them Chick-fil-A's lease agreement allows the building to stay even if they stop leasing from him, so the current building might remain even if the Chick-fil-A changes locations.
The town said Chick-fil-A is also looking into another location, possibly on Houston Levee, which might not be the Almadale Farms site. The request for more parking spaces in the site was denied by the Board of Zoning Appeals in March, and Chick-fil-A has not reapplied for it.
Staff reports and plans can be found on the city's website, and you can keep track of new development applications on the Collierville Development Activity Map. Comments about either planned location can be emailed to planning@colliervilletn.gov.
