Dyersburg Chick-Fil-A files notice it will temporarily close in February 2024

The chain announced they would temporarily close the restaurant on Lake Road starting Feb. 6, 2024.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — More than 80 people at the Chick-Fil-A in Dyersburg, Tennessee, will soon be out of a job.

In a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the chain announced they would temporarily close the restaurant on Lake Road starting Feb. 6, 2024.

The notice said 84 workers would be out of work when the closure happens. 

Chick-Fil-A corporate told ABC24 that the closures were for renovations "to improve the guest and Team Member experience." They said updates will be made to the kitchen and dining room, and will take several months.

"We look forward to remaining a part of the community and welcoming guests into the new restaurant to serve them great food with remarkable service," said Chick-Fil-A in a statement.
