Kevin Kern at Memphis Tourism sent this statement regarding the closing: “While disappointed to lose this restaurant at the end of their lease term now, we are encouraged by Hard Rock’s statement that indicates they are open to having another location within the Memphis market, and their exploration of building a Hard Rock Hotel on Beale Street as recent as last year.”
The Hard Rock Café in Memphis first opened its doors Nov. 14, 1997 on the east end of Beale in the 300 block, before moving to the location at 126 Beale Street on July 3, 2014.
Memphis isn't the only Hard Rock closing. The company also announced it would close its Denver location after 25 years.
