Still need to add a turkey to your cart this Thanksgiving? Here's a look at prices in the Memphis area

Amid rising prices as the country struggles with a supply shortage, shoppers are hunting for the best holiday food deals.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It’s the second holiday season since the start of the pandemic and with the concern of rising food costs, what’s top of mind for many is Thanksgiving on a budget.

On Monday, you could spot lines of shoppers down the aisle and several grocers bagging Thanksgiving dinner essentials.

If you haven’t gotten your turkey or ham yet, there’s still a little time, but you still want to act fast.

The manager at High Point Grocery said additional meat products will be shipped on Tuesday. The grocery store is selling turkeys for $25 and ham for around $35.

Meanwhile, Kroger is offering a 16-20 pound turkey for about $16 and a 10-14 pound turkey for $11.

If you plan to get most of your fixings from Walmart this season, they're offering a 10-24 pound turkey for $13.

The food giant is also advertising a Thanksgiving meal for about $39, saying they are prepared for the holiday meal demand despite the supply shortage crisis hitting the country.

At Walmart, you can order by 6 p.m. on Wednesday and select express delivery at checkout for delivery in two hours or less. You can also schedule a free curbside pickup through 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
