ARLINGTON, Tenn. — His first year, he raised around three-hundred dollars and then five-hundred for the second.

When asked what he wants people to take from his story he replied, "I want to help out other people over the summer because children need food when they are not in school."

Local 24 News spoke with his mother Melinda about the work he is doing in his community.

She said that he is a good kid and that he didn't do this for recognition, he just knows what is right and enjoys helping others.

Melinda says that Anderson will continue to volunteer with the food pantry and enjoy helping the city of Arlington during this time of uncertainty.
