MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Cooper-Young residents will be welcoming folks to the neighborhood for music and shopping this spring for its fourth annual Porchfest.
First, starting at 8 a.m. on the morning of April 20, 2024, the Cooper-Young Community Association will hold its annual neighborhood yard sale. Then from noon to 6 p.m., bands of all genres will take to the porches of Cooper-Young neighbors, celebrating spring with sweet tunes in the air.
“I have been so pleased and excited by the eagerness to participate in our Porchfest!” said Amanda Yarbro-Dill, Executive Director of the CYCA. “In 2021, we had around 40 bands playing on 20 porches, and in 2022 & 2023 that number doubled to approximately 90 bands on 40 porches. We can’t wait to bring back this free, fun, family-centric event back to Midtown, and we feel that our neighborhood is the perfect setting to showcase the musical talents and enthusiasm of the city of Memphis.”
A schedule will be available the week before Porchfest.
