MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Campbell Clinic held a company-wide moment of silence Thursday morning honoring a Collierville doctor on the first anniversary of his murder, which happened at the clinic's Collierville location.

Dr. Benjamin Mauck was honored with a moment of silence at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024, one year after his death. The moment of silence was held across the company at all nine locations across Memphis and Oxford, Mississippi.

"During this time, we invite everyone to pause and reflect on the contributions and the positive impact Dr. Mauck had on our patients, staff and in our lives," Campbell Clinic Orthopaedic said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to an active shooter call at the Campbell Clinic on Poplar Ave. about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

According to the affidavit from Collierville Police,  Larry Pickens, 29, was in an exam room being treated by Dr. Mauck when he pulled a gun from his waistband and fired three shots at the doctor, who died at the scene.

Pickens's bond was set to $1,200,000, and according to the Collierville Clerk's Office, Perkins's trial has been reset to Aug, 27, 2024.
