MEMPHIS, Tennessee —
Memphis Police are looking for people to join the Best in Blue. That's the name of MPD's recruiting effort.
The department held a hiring event Friday at the Benjamin Hooks Library.
They hope to eventually hire hundreds of new officers. Police officer salaries start at more than $47,000.
The next hiring event is Thursday, March 12 from 4-6pm at the Benjamin Hooks Library at 3030 Poplar Avenue.
