A person dead and another is injured after a shooting happened late Sunday night near the Memphis airport.
The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting May 26, 2024, just before 11:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of East Briarpark Drive, near Winchester Road and Airways Boulevard. Officers found two people with apparent gunshot wounds.
One was pronounced dead. The other person was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.
Police did not release any information regarding a suspect.
