'1,000-lb. Sisters' star Amy Slaton arrested for drug possession, child endangerment at Crockett County zoo

Deputies were called to Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo, Tennessee, Monday, Sept. 2, after someone said a guest had been bitten by a camel.

ALAMO, Tennessee — Deputies arrested one of the siblings featured in the "1,000-lb. Sisters" television series on Labor Day at a Crockett County zoo after they smelled "suspicious odors" coming from a car, authorities said. 

Amy Slaton Halterman is facing charges of illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI and two counts of child endangerment. 

Deputies with the Crockett County Sheriff's Department were called to Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo, Tennessee, on Monday, Sept. 2, after someone said a guest had been bitten by a camel. 

When they arrived, deputies noticed a suspicious smell coming from the guest's vehicle. Halterman and a man named Brian Scott Lovvorn were inside. 

Lovvorn is now facing the same charges.

Both have been taken to the Crockett County Jail.
