The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting Tuesday, June 4, around 9:30 a.m. in the 4400 block of Mill Stream Drive.
Memphis Police have released video of a suspect in a shooting Tuesday morning that left a teen injured in Whitehaven.
MPD officers responded to the shooting June 4, 2024, just before 9:30 a.m. in the 4400 block of Mill Stream Drive in the Mill Creek Apartments. Police found a 17-year-old was hurt.
He taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in non-critical condition.
Investigators said the suspect had approached the teen and chased him up a stairwell in his apartment building, then shot the victim once before taking off southbound through the complex.
MPD said the suspect was wearing a gray hoodie and shorts.

MEMPHIS, TN – On June 4, 2024, at 9:22 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 4400 block of Mill Stream Drive in the Millcreek Apartments. Officers made the scene and located a male victim injured by gunfire. Officers were advised that the suspect in a gray hoodie and shorts approached a juvenile victim and chased him up the stairwell in his apartment building. The suspect shot the victim one time and then fled southbound through the apartment complex. The victim was then transported to Le Bonheur Hospital.
No arrest has been made. This is an ongoing investigation. The video is attached.
