MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Shelby County Grand Jury has indicted a man who police said admitted to committing various burglaries spanning about a year and a half, according to court records.
Tedric Parson was indicted June 24, 2024, on charges of evading arrest, theft, and vandalism, according to court records He remains in the Shelby County Jail on $300,000 total bond.
Parson was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023. Two juveniles were also detained.
According to an affidavit, Parson was accused of being involved in burglarizing an AT&T store in the 4800 block of Summer Avenue, where a vehicle smashed into the building and $5,000 worth of merchandise was stolen on Dec. 18, 2023.
On the same day, Investigators said Parson was also involved in targeting a Boost Mobile store in the 300 block of North Cleveland Street, where thieves used a vehicle to crash into the store and steal $2,000 worth of items. Police said Parson claimed he was unable to take any merchandise and others rammed the vehicle into the store, the affidavit said.
On Dec. 15, authorities said Parson was involved in burglarizing a Metro by T-Mobile store in the 3500 block of Ramill Road, where thieves stole $100 and damaged the store.
On June 24, 2022, authorities said Parson stole $240 from a Metro PCS store in the 4200 block of Summer Avenue. He damaged the building as well, they said.
On May 21, 2022, authorities said Parson stole $30,000 worth of merchandise from a City Gear store in the 4000 block of Elvis Presley Boulevard.
According to the affidavit, Parson is also accused of stealing multiple vehicles.
Parson waived his Miranda Rights and agreed to speak with investigators, admitting to being involved in the crimes listed above and stealing multiple vehicles, the affidavit said.
