MEMPHIS, Tenn — Two men are dead and three others were critically injured after a shooting happened overnight in southeast Memphis on Riverdale Road.
The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting just after midnight on Friday, Dec. 15, in the 3900 block of Riverdale Road near Miracle-Perfection Hand Carwash and Detailing, where officers found five men. One, a 21-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The four other men were taken to Regional One Health in critical condition, but one later died. He was 20 years old.
Among the three surviving men, two are 20 years old while the other is 19, according to police.
Police said preliminary information indicates the shooting was a targeted attack and the victims and suspect(s) knew each other.
