2 juveniles critically injured after crash in East Memphis

Memphis Police said they were investigating a two-car accident Thursday, Jan. 4, when two more cars crashed into the scene.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two children were critically injured after crashes involving four cars happened overnight in East Memphis.

The Memphis Police Department responded to a two-car accident Thursday, Jan. 4, just after midnight on I-240 east and Walnut Grove Road.

Police said while they were investigating the accident, two more cars crashed into the scene.

Two children were taken to hospitals in critical condition, according to police.

At 00:03 a.m., officers responded to a two vehicle accident on 240 E & Walnut Gv. While investigating the accident, two additional vehicles crashed into the already active scene. A total of four cars involved. Two juveniles were transported critical to local hospitals. pic.twitter.com/u0fKrVFgn0
