20-year-old charged with quadruple homicide, Tunica County Sheriff's Office says

Woods altogether has four charges of capital murder, four counts of conspiracy to commit a crime, one count of drive-by shooting and more.

TUNICA COUNTY, Miss — A 20-year-old man is in custody and has been charged by authorities in Mississippi after a quadruple homicide that took place in November of 2023.

The Tunica County Sheriff's Office said that Monterrius Woods, 20, has been charged with the shooting death of a 23-year-old from Dundee, a 25-year-old of Robinsonville, this person's unborn child and the death of a 24-year-old from Tunica, who died with injuries after a car crash.

Woods altogether has four charges of capital murder, four counts of conspiracy to commit a crime, one count of drive-by shooting and one count of shooting into a motor vehicle.

Woods is in the custody of DeSoto County Jail on unrelated charges, according to the sheriff's office.

Additional charges are to follow as well as more arrests, according to the sheriff's office.
