OXFORD, Miss — An 89-year-old man is facing charges after a deadly shooting took place Tuesday in Oxford, Mississippi.
Oxford police responded to the shooting call Nov. 12, 2024, just before 7 a.m. in the 200 block of Herman Drive. There, officers found a person who had been shot.
First responders tried to save the person's life, but they died at the scene.
Police arrested 89-year-old Herman Slack, who was later charged with first-degree murder.
An investigation is underway.
