MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Charges have been dropped against a Memphis area pastor who once appeared on ‘American Idol’ and ‘The Voice.'
Steven ‘Stevie’ Flockhart, lead pastor of the 901 Church, had been charged with identity theft and theft of property after a parishioner accused the pastor of using his information to open a credit card in his name. However, those charges were dropped, according to court records.
According to a court affidavit, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office spoke with the parishioner in September about the accusation, the event of which had occurred three years before, the affidavit said.
In a Nov. 3 statement on its Facebook page, 901 Church had said it was aware of the allegations against Flockhart, which they “do not find factual.”
