WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Arkansas State Police (ASP) said an adult and juvenile are arrested after a police pursuit in West Memphis ended in a crash.
On Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, the West Memphis Police Department (WMPD) notified ASP that they were in a pursuit of a suspect in a stolen car.
ASP said troopers were able to intercept the suspect on the interstate and perform a tactical vehicle intervention to end the pursuit.
The suspect’s car crashed into a civilian's car that had slowed down, attempting to pull over, according to ASP.
No one was seriously injured, police said.
Latrevious Washington, 23, and a juvenile were transported to the Crittenden County Detention Center, while another juvenile was taken to the Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, ASP said.
The stolen Dodge Charger driven by the suspect had been involved in another pursuit with ASP on Dec. 19, 2023, according to ASP.
ASP said they seized illegal narcotics and a stolen firearm from the vehicle.
