CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — Authorities captured an armed and dangerous man who was on the run Thursday in Crockett County.
The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department alerted the public on the evening of Jan. 4 that authorities were searching for Preston Young, a person wanted on several felony charges and last seen on Siloam Road.
The department said Young was armed and dangerous, asking people to avoid the area of Chestnut Buff, Siloam, and Antioch roads. Those in the area were advised to remove keys from their vehicles to prevent theft and to lock the doors of their houses.
Young was later taken into custody without incident near Siloam Road and will face Judge Paul Conley in Crockett County General Session Court, authorities said.
No officers were hurt.
