Police release suspect photos after armed robbers hit two banks in Cordova

Officers responded to the robberies just after 1:40 p.m. Friday at the Bank of Bartlett on Germantown Parkway and First Horizon Bank on Trinity Road.

MEMPHIS, Tenn — The Memphis Police Department (MPD) released photos of four suspects after two Cordova banks were robbed around the same time Friday.

MPD officers responded to both robberies just after 1:40 p.m. Oct. 20, 2023, at the Bank of Bartlett in the 600 block of Germantown Parkway and the First Horizon Bank in the 8000 block of Trinity Road. The banks are minutes apart from each other.

At each robbery, two men jumped the counter to the teller stations and pointed handguns at the employees, demanding money, according to Memphis Police. After taking the money, they ran out of the banks and headed in an unknown direction.

On Oct. 20, MPD said the Safe Streets Task Force and FBI were investigating the robberies.

There have been no arrests made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
