MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Blytheville, Arkansas police officer has been fired after he was arrested on a charge related to child porn.
Arkansas State Police (ASP) said they arrested David Paul Cross, 25, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, after serving a search warrant on his home. Investigators said they seized electronic devices and other evidence.
Cross is now charged with distributing, possessing, and/or viewing of materials depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
In a statement on Facebook, the Blytheville Police Department said Cross was accused of viewing "inappropriate sexual material on the internet." They said Cross had been with the department for about three years, but has now been fired and is no longer with the department.
Cross was booked into the Mississippi County Detention Center and his bond was set at $75,000.
