MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A child is in the hospital after Memphis Police Department officials said she was shot at a Hickory Hill apartment complex Wednesday morning.
MPD officers responded to a shooting at the Hickory Pointe Apartments at the 5800 block of Mount Hickory Drive around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, where they said they found a girl who had been shot.
The girl was taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in non-critical condition.
MPD said they're looking for a suspect with dreads wearing a black hoodie and dark pants. MPD said he ran from the scene in a white vehicle.
