SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — The Shelby County Sheriff's Office has identified a man whose body was found on the side of a road in north Shelby County Monday afternoon, and charged another man with murder.
Shelby County investigators said the body of 49-year-old Jesus Cazares was found in the 4300 block of Bolen Huse Road around 3:30 p.m. Dec. 5, 2022. Shelby County Fire paramedics pronounced Cazares dead at the scene.
Detectives said they arrested Brandon Malone, 37, in Cazares' death.
Malone is charged him with 2nd degree murder, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and theft of property under $1,000.
