MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have charged a man with the murder of a woman found shot in the Medical District Monday.
Officers were called to the 600 block of Madison Ave. about 2 p.m. Monday, where according to the affidavit, they found Tiffany Hunt-Jones shot several times. She was taken to Regional One, where she died a short time later.
According to the police affidavit, investigators said Hunt-Jones was visiting with residents at an apartment in the area, when witnesses heard loud popping sounds, then saw a man, known as ‘Dirty,’ run from the scene. The witnesses told police they saw Hunt-Jones stumble toward her car. One witness told police he opened the door to his apartment, and ‘Dirty’ ran in with a gun then ran back out.
Investigators said they tracked ‘Dirty’ to his former employer, and learned his name was Robert Guyse. Guyse, 39, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He is in the Shelby County jail on $120,000 bond.
