MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead after a shooting on I-55 early Wednesday morning.
The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting July 31, 2024, shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Interstate 55 and East Brooks Road, where officers found a man dead.
When an ABC24 photographer arrived on the scene, he saw a car wrecked and shot up with bullets. The shooting closed northbound lanes for hours before they were reopened just after 5:15 a.m.
No suspect information is available as of yet.
