Two men wanted for murder after 17-year-old killed in double shooting in Dyersburg

MEMPHIS, Tenn — Dyersburg Police are searching for two men wanted for murder after a double shooting mid-January left one 17-year-old dead and another injured.

First-degree murder warrants have been issued for 19-year-old Jeremiah Lamonte Davis and 18-year-old Shaun Anthony Dial.

Officers responded to the shooting about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, in the area of Hike and Palmer St. They found the 17-year-old dead inside a vehicle at the scene. Investigators said a second 17-year-old was taken by private vehicle to a nearby ambulance service, then airlifted to a hospital in Memphis.

Investigators have not said what led to the shooting.

Police Chief Steve Isbell said the investigation still remains a very active one and both men should be considered armed and dangerous.
