Memphis Police release picture of suspect in Frayser shooting

Memphis Police said the suspect was caught on camera robbing and shooting a man at the Malcolm X Food Mart on Corning Ave.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have released a picture of a suspect in a shooting Monday night in Frayser that left a man injured.

The Memphis Police Department (MPD) responded to the shooting Oct. 2, 2023, just after 8:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Corning Ave. near Steele St. They found a man shot in the doorway of the Malcolm X Food Mart. He was taken to Regional One Health in critical condition.

Memphis Police said the suspect was caught on camera shooting and robbing the victim. MPD previously said the suspect drove away in a gray Infiniti with drive-out tags.
