Memphis Police say the girl is at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — UPDATE 5/12/2021: The 10-year-old child was shot while riding on the passenger side of her mother’s car. According to the Memphis Police Department, "Immediately before the shooting, the mother was being chased by a female driving a light green or gold Buick SUV. The Buick followed the victim into the Jamesbridge Apartments and stopped directly behind the victim. Approximately 15 seconds later, the gray Honda pulled up alongside the victim and fired one shot into the passenger side front window, striking the victim. Both vehicles then fled the scene.The gray Honda has since been located. No arrests have been made."
UPDATE 5/11/2021: The Memphis Police Department tells Local 24 News, the young girl is still listed as critical.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be a four-door Infiniti, possibly a G35.
A girl is in the hospital fighting for her life after being shot in Raleigh Monday night.
According to the Memphis Police Department, the girl was shot in the 2800 block of S. Advantage Way just before 8:30pm. She was taken to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital and is in critical condition. Immediately before the shooting, the mother was being chased by a female driving a light green or gold Buick SUV. The Buick followed the victim into the Jamesbridge Apartments and stopped directly behind the victim. Approximately 15 seconds later, the gray Honda pulled up alongside the victim and fired one shot into the passenger side front window, striking the victim. Both vehicles then fled the scene.
The gray Honda has since been located. No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
