MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A teen is injured after Memphis Police found him Tuesday in Raleigh, injured from a shooting.

Officers responded to the incident Oct. 22 around 2 a.m. on Whitney Avenue, where they found a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound in his upper left arm.

He told police he had been shot in the 2700 block of Frayser Boulevard, but then changed his mind and said the incident occurred at an apartment complex at Range Line Road near Corning Avenue. Investigators were not able to find a crime scene at either locations, according to the police report.

Officers also spoke to the teen's stepmom, who said the teen just came beating on the door and she did not know where he came from. The 17-year-old said he had been alone and ran back home.

The boy was taken to a hospital in non-critical condition.
