GERMANTOWN, Tenn. — The Germantown Police Department will soon be adding body cameras to their uniforms.

The Germantown Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved an over $180,000 purchase of 82 body cameras and charging stations.

They haven't released a policy for the cameras yet, but city officials and police think the cameras will be helpful for evidence and holding officers accountable.
