Two hurt after shootings in Orange Mound

Memphis Police said it's too early to determine whether the two shootings are connected.

MEMPHIS, Tenn — According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), a man is injured after a shooting on Grand St. and Park Ave. on Monday night.

Around 9:30 p.m., officers said they responded to a shooting call at Park Avenue and Grand Street. A man injured in the shooting was taken to Regional One in critical condition, according to MPD. The suspect(s) drove away in a black sedan.

Police also said another shooting occurred nearby on Park Avenue and Pendleton Street, where officers found another injured person, who was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition. 

MPD said it's too early to determine whether the two shootings are connected.
