TUNICA, Miss — A man was shot and killed around the 1600 block and Beatline Rd. in Tunica during a home invasion attempt on the morning of Sept. 27.
Deputies with the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office came to the scene after receiving a call from a resident of a home on Beatline Rd. made around 1:15 a.m. in reference to an attempted home invasion and an exchange of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, Tunica County deputies found a man living at the home suffering from a gunshot wound according to the sheriff’s office. He was treated on the scene and transported to a hospital in Memphis. While on the scene, sheriff’s deputies found a second gunshot victim who was later pronounced dead by Tunica County Coroner, Glen Grant, according to officials. He has been identified by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office as 30-year-old Nadarius Joiner.
So far, no arrests have been made and this incident is under investigation.
