MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One man was killed in a shooting near the intersection of Park Ave. and Prescott Rd. on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
Memphis Police Department said the victim was pronounced dead on the scene. MPD arrived at the scene around 7:30 p.m.
MPD said the investigation is ongoing.
In less than an hour, MPD was dispatched to another shooting.
One woman was critically injured in a shooting near a gas station in the 2700 block of Mt. Moriah on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
According to MPD, officers arrived at the scene at 8:21 p.m.
The woman was transported to Regional One Hospital.
MPD also responded to another shooting at Shelby Oaks Dr. between these two incidents. The female victim in that shooting was critically injured.
