MEMPHIS, Tenn. — According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), a man has died after he barricaded himself in an apartment after shooting at two people in Whitehaven on Monday.
Memphis Police said they responded to a scene of a shooting at 3500 Long Bow Dr. around 4 p.m.
Police said the known suspect, a man, barricaded himself inside of an apartment after firing shots at two victims. One of them shot back, shooting the man inside the apartment.
The man, who suffered from multiple gunshot wounds, was pronounced dead, according to Memphis Police.
MPD said one victim was taken to Methodist South in critical condition. The other person, who shot back at the suspect, was not harmed.
No charges have been filed at this time, according to MPD.
