MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is injured and a woman is in jail after a shooting happened overnight in South Memphis.
The Memphis Police Department (MPD) responded to the shooting Oct. 23 just after midnight in the 300 block of East Trigg Avenue.
Officers said an injured man arrived at the Memphis Fire Station on East McLemore Avenue in a private vehicle. He was taken to Regional One Health in non-critical condition.
According to MPD, someone told officers that the man’s ex-girlfriend, Lerricks Floyd, had shot him.
Officers then found Floyd in the same area where the shooting occurred and arrested her.
Floyd has been charged with aggravated assault.
