Man wanted for attempted murder arrested at Memphis residence, U.S. officials say

BELLS, Tenn. — U.S. Marshals arrested a man wanted for attempted first-degree murder Tuesday, Oct. 29, in Memphis, authorities announced. 

Investigators said 37-year-old Antonio Pewitte stabbed his ex-girlfriend multiple times in the face and head on Oct. 19, 2024, in Bells after waiting outside her job site and attacking her with a knife as she entered the building. 

U.S. Marshals later learned Pewitte was at a residence in Memphis in the 2200 block of Falling Oak Way, where they safely took him into custody and transported him to the Bells Police Department. Memphis Police and Shelby County deputies helped with the arrest.
