MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was caught and charged Wednesday after the sheriff’s office in Lauderdale County, Tennessee, said he fired at deputies.
Bryan A. Lebel has been charged with attempted murder, along with other felony charges.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were responding to a domestic abuse situation in Henning on Sunday Jan. 14, 2024. When they arrived, investigators said Lebel began firing at them.
The sheriff’s office said a patrol vehicle was hit but no deputies were injured. They said Lebel took off and could not be found.
On Jan. 17, the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force captured Lebel without incident after surrounding his residence. Lebel was housed in the Lauderdale County Jail to await arraignment.
This investigation is ongoing and subject to change, the sheriff's office said.
