MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police Department (MPD) has arrested and charged a man who is accused of uploading child sexual abuse material (CSAM) images to the internet.
Elija Tyler, 25, was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor on Nov. 29, 2024.
MPD received a tip on May 14, 2024 that a user of a Google account uploaded eight images that depicted children in a sexual manner between Feb. 28 and Feb. 29, 2024.
MPD said Internet Crimes Against Children investigators verified that the possession, distribution, and/or creation of at least one of the reported files violated the Tennessee Code.
Tyler is currently in MPD custody with no bond set at this time.
